Product description

HS Type

In pursuit of higher stability
  • The heat treatment stabilizes the bonds between the elements in the structure of the cast iron. This prevents disc distortion and strain which is common immediately after installing new discs.
  • The treatment also optimizes the surface hardness, which improves brake response.
  • Higher performance can be achieved by using the HD discs along with the Z type or R series pads.
  • We recommend this disc for advanced drivers who require/want more braking stability.

  • The above chart represents evaluation values of our product in 100 phases in comparison with genuine rotors of the test model. Values of genuine rotors show 50.
  • The values above should be only used as a reference to better understand the performance differences.
  • Higher values signifies the performance increases when compared to the standard disc.

The DIXCEL HS series is for race circuit drivers and race enthusiasts, who need higher heat stability compared to the standard disc.

Cutting for balancing

Cutting for balancing

All DIXCEL brake discs are checked for balance to prevent vibration.
Correction of the balance is done by milling/cutting out the side of brake discs.
This is a method taken by car manufacturers' brake discs.

WHAT THE PROS SAY

A GLANCE OF WHAT THE PROS THINK ABOUT
THE TRADITIONAL DECELERATION AT IT'S EXCELLENCE

Installation was simple and straight forward. After bedding the immediate result were quite noticeable. This pad and rotor combination is a noticeable improvement over OEM. The feel is solid and progressive as you'd want them to be for a high-performance street brake pad and rotor. The feel is consistent time after time and confidence inspiring at speed.

Brian Tuck on Z Type Pads with FS Rotors

The M-Type brake pads from DIXCEL Japan are truly a street driver's ideal pad! They offer plenty of bite and stopping power for your typical "spirited" street driver, just aggressive enough when needed while still being practical and suitable to daily driving. I was eager to see if the M-Type live up their advertised claim of low noise, low dust, and was pleasantly surprised to see that they do indeed live up to those claims! The M-Type are virtually silent when braking, and most importantly for me, generate very minimal brake dust!

Jason Lee on M Type Pads

These pads do not require warming up like the PMCR track pads obviously and quickly get up to operating temp on normal drives. The feel is solid and progressive as you'd want them to be for a high performance street brake pad. The feel is consistent time after time and confidence inspiring at speeds up to 100+ MPH.

Nam on Z Type Pads with Aftermarket 2 Piece Rotors

Compared to the 'Specom-β' and the 'RA-type', the braking power was a level higher. The brakes were easy to control and the pedal feel was just right. The braking power was so significant, that on a street-use car, the ABS would kick in. The pads are ideal when you are especially seeking brake power. They are ideal for time trials with high grip tires or you want a fast lap time with few laps.

Tetsuya Tanaka on Specom-α Pads

The pads are very stable with high braking power. The pads also feature superior pad life. I can confidently recommend the pads for race circuit-use and street-use. Long repeated laps on the race circuit cause no problems; the brakes work well even with a light brake pedal touch which makes it easy to use on the streets. If you were to use the pads for racing, it would have to be for an endurance race; the long pad life and stable braking power is ideal for it.
