Product description

 FP Type

The performance proved by Super Taikyu (endurance) race known as one of the most competitive race under severe condition.
  • By increasing the Carbon content of the disc by 20% compared to our standard mixture, we were able to strengthen the molecular bonds within the disc.
  • Stable durability even with repeated expansion and compression by applying DIXCEL heat treatment process.
  • Significant improvements in crack resistance and resistance to distortion, to accommodate to the needs of our advanced users.
  • Increase in initial bite by using a softer braking surface. Outstanding compatibility with various brake pad materials.
  • Reduction in noise level by reducing vibrations
  • Superb corrosion resistance from anti-corrosion coating.
  • Available for a wide range of vehicles.

  • The above chart represents evaluation values of our product in 100 phases in comparison with genuine rotors of the test model. Values of genuine rotors show 50.
  • The values above should be only used as a reference to better understand the performance differences.
  • Higher values signifies the performance increases when compared to the standard disc.

The highest grade brake disc by DIXCEL, made from our ever advancing technology and vast experience.

The official brake parts supplier for an international one-make racing series, the Volkswagen Scirocco cup China series.

The Volkswagen Scirocco cup racing series is a promotional race series that is adopted by Volkswagen worldwide. Starting in 2010, after rigorous testing and evaluation, DIXCEL brake pads and 2-piece discs were chosen, and being used in the Scirocco Cup China series.

There is a particular manufacturing process and material selection process for brake discs, just as there is for brake pads.

Since our establishment, DIXCEL has used our resources for the research & development of brake discs.

For example, the Super Taikyu racing series.
The Super Taikyu is an endurance race, which allows us to gather data from rigorous conditions of multiple hours and long distance of use.
The Super Taikyu racing series uses production-based cars. These cars are much heavier than the purpose-built race cars, which put more strain on the brakes. The engineers are able to gather valuable data and experience from this series.

The FP/FS was developed with the need to keep benefits of a high carbon disc, and also having great initial response without sacrificing other performance areas.
The unique know-how and thinking of DIXCEL is all packed into the FP/FS.

"The brake disc should also have the best brake performance"

The FCR disc is for professionals users and people who have high performance standards. The FP/FS is the pinnacle of DIXCEL current technology.

The application of FCR and two-piece is continuously broaden. For the latest up-to-date information, we recommend checking our website.

FP/FS is for the advance users who want higher brake distortion resistance and thermal crack resistance from their brake discs.
Cutting for balancing

Cutting for balancing

All DIXCEL brake discs are checked for balance to prevent vibration.
Correction of the balance is done by milling/cutting out the side of brake discs.
This is a method taken by car manufacturers' brake discs.

WHAT THE PROS SAY

A GLANCE OF WHAT THE PROS THINK ABOUT
THE TRADITIONAL DECELERATION AT IT'S EXCELLENCE

Installation was simple and straight forward. After bedding the immediate result were quite noticeable. This pad and rotor combination is a noticeable improvement over OEM. The feel is solid and progressive as you'd want them to be for a high-performance street brake pad and rotor. The feel is consistent time after time and confidence inspiring at speed.

Brian Tuck on Z Type Pads with FS Rotors

The M-Type brake pads from DIXCEL Japan are truly a street driver's ideal pad! They offer plenty of bite and stopping power for your typical "spirited" street driver, just aggressive enough when needed while still being practical and suitable to daily driving. I was eager to see if the M-Type live up their advertised claim of low noise, low dust, and was pleasantly surprised to see that they do indeed live up to those claims! The M-Type are virtually silent when braking, and most importantly for me, generate very minimal brake dust!

Jason Lee on M Type Pads

These pads do not require warming up like the PMCR track pads obviously and quickly get up to operating temp on normal drives. The feel is solid and progressive as you'd want them to be for a high performance street brake pad. The feel is consistent time after time and confidence inspiring at speeds up to 100+ MPH.

Nam on Z Type Pads with Aftermarket 2 Piece Rotors

Compared to the 'Specom-β' and the 'RA-type', the braking power was a level higher. The brakes were easy to control and the pedal feel was just right. The braking power was so significant, that on a street-use car, the ABS would kick in. The pads are ideal when you are especially seeking brake power. They are ideal for time trials with high grip tires or you want a fast lap time with few laps.

Tetsuya Tanaka on Specom-α Pads

The pads are very stable with high braking power. The pads also feature superior pad life. I can confidently recommend the pads for race circuit-use and street-use. Long repeated laps on the race circuit cause no problems; the brakes work well even with a light brake pedal touch which makes it easy to use on the streets. If you were to use the pads for racing, it would have to be for an endurance race; the long pad life and stable braking power is ideal for it.
